I call the song “Monster Attack @ the Rave/Fashion Week in Hell.” The beginning sounds very rough and intense, which could be interpreted as either a monster approaching, or simply just the sounds of hell. The second portion sounds like either a Rave or a Fashion show. In the last portion, which is a combination of the most memorable hooks of the first two, it sounds like either the monster has entered the rave, or a fashion show going on in hell. I tried to apply everything I learned in this class, specifically what I learned about dance music. First, Is tried to keep the listener’s attention by constantly taking some tracks in the song out and adding in new ones. This keeps the listener interested in what is going on in the piece. Second, I tried to fill up the entire frequency domain. I tried to have high, high-mid, low-mid, and low frequency sounds included, and I brought out the low thundering bass and the high-pitched melody. The entire song has an electronic dance feel, which is driven by simple pop melodies.
